Nikita Roy Announced as Speaker at MediaTech Festival 2026

We are excited to announce that Nikita Roy will join MediaTech Festival 2026 as a keynote speaker and will also co-host a hands-on workshop on Day 2 of the festival together with Sofie Hvitved, included as part of the festival ticket.

Nikita Roy is the founder of Newsroom Robots Lab, an AI training and advisory firm working with media organizations worldwide, and the host of the globally acclaimed Newsroom Robots Podcast, ranked among the top technology podcasts in more than 30 countries. She is widely recognized as one of the leading international voices at the intersection of AI, journalism, and media innovation.

Keynote: Innovation from First Principles

At MediaTech Festival 2026, Nikita Roy will deliver her keynote “Innovation from First Principles,” where she explores how artificial intelligence is fundamentally reshaping newsrooms; from infrastructure and product development to audience engagement and storytelling.

Drawing on her global experience with Newsroom Robots Lab, the Newsroom Robots Podcast, and the AI Journalism Lab at CUNY, Roy will share real-world newsroom case studies, actionable strategies, and practical playbooks for responsible AI adoption. The keynote focuses on how media organizations can create measurable impact, innovate with confidence, and build trust while navigating the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Workshop on Day 2

On Day 2 of the festival, attendees will have the opportunity to dive deeper into tinnovation and AI in media during a workshop hosted by Nikita Roy and Sofie Hvitved.
