MCO member event:

From the inside: How JP/Politikens Hus work with AI

Odense, September 2, 2025, from 10 to 12

How does one of Denmark's largest media outlets work strategically and practically with artificial intelligence? And how do they balance technological innovation with preserving journalistic values? 🗞️

At our next member event on September 2, we will hear a presentation by Kasper Lindskow and Sara Inkeri Vardar from the AI unit at JP/Politikens Hus. They will give us a unique insight into how artificial intelligence is not just used as a technological tool – but as an integrated part of the media outlet's editorial and strategic development.

AI is playing an increasingly important role in the development of journalism and media, and JP/Politikens Hus is actively working to shape ethical, transparent and responsible AI practices that support the company's social responsibility. This is about automating internal processes and developing editorial tools - but also about ensuring that the technology is used to strengthen democracy through information, facts and debate.

Sara Inkeri Vardar will also share insights from her thesis on innovation in legacy media which focuses on how traditional media houses such as JP/Politikens Hus and Schibsted try to balance innovation with their editorial values and identity.

The event offers perspective – and focuses on the tension between journalism, technology and organizational culture.
